20 Things You Might Not Know About Me

15 January, 2015

Twenty ThingsI’m an advocate of being authentic and showing your true colours. To honour that, I’ll be sharing more personal stories in my blog this year. I’ll start with some basic bean spilling…

  1. My middle name is Lisa.
  2. In high school I was a drum majorette.
  3. I once ate armadillo for Christmas lunch.
  4. I have a sickening fear of cockroaches. When I see one I sweat.
  5. I never finished my BComm degree. I chose education and money and studied nights for a diploma so that I could start corporate life.
  6. I can wiggle my ears.
  7. I’m very punctual. I’d rather face a cockroach than be late.
  8. I don’t like reading newspapers.
  9. I’m torn between being a yuppie and a hippie. [Although by definition yuppies are young. I’m just Young J]
  10. I eat a lot of peanut butter on toast.
  11. Every night I get my working mojo on at about 10pm. Every morning I promise myself to change that.
  12. I’m more of an introvert than extrovert. Social networking is hard.
  13. I’ve jumped out of an aeroplane three times and bungee-jumped once.
  14. My thrill-seeking nature has faded since having children. Poor things. It would be way cooler for them to have a thrill-seeking mom.
  15. As a body part, I’m most proud of my back. It used to be my arms.
  16. Water is my meditation. I swim about 10km a week.
  17. I write everything in pencil. Pen is just too, permanent.
  18. I never learned to cook until I was 35.
  19. In my 20’s I spent four days with Jean-Claude Van Damme.
  20. My pinkies are skew.

Okay, now it’s your turn. Tell us something we don’t know about you.
