Vertical or Horizontal

9 October, 2019

Today, will you self-assuredly introduce yourself to the most powerful person in the room, or will you avoid eye contact, feeling self-conscious and less than?

Will you cold call the prospective client; confidently believing she’ll agree to meet with you, or will you convince yourself tomorrow is a better day?

Will you speak down to your children because you’re the parent, or will you respectfully give them the space to debate?

The horizontal relationship is difficult to conceive, especially when we’re programmed towards vertical, authoritarian hierarchy.

But the way you see someone defines the way you relate to them, which in turn, defines your personal brand.
